Nowadays families spend a lot of time in their cars. This leads to spills of so many different foods and beverages all over the car. This means that you need to find ways to effectively clean your car’s upholstery. Driving around in a clean car is much more enjoyable. Liquids have a way of quickly turning into stains on your upholstery. As soon as you can you want to soak up as much of the excess liquid as you can.
You will need some upholstery cleaner which is available online or at your local auto parts shop. Spray some on the stain and give it a few minutes to work. Use a small brush to scrub the stain once it is ready. Use a clean cloth to dry the area. It may take a couple of times repeating the process to remove the stain.
You might want to try using shaving cream on a small stain if you cannot find any car upholstery cleaners in your garage. If you have an ink stain on your upholstery do not rub it. This will just smear the ink and make the stain bigger. Spray the area with hairspray after gently blotting away excess ink.
Wipe the area with clean dry towels after it has had time to sit. It may take a couple of times to remove the stain. Ink stains can also be removed using rubbing alcohol. The best way to remove lipstick stains is with white non-get toothpaste. Just rub in onto the stain gently and then wipe it with a clean damp cloth.
It is not uncommon for families with children to end up with crayon marks on their upholstery. Begin by scraping off as much crayon as possible using a dull knife or the edge of a metal spoon. Next spray with a small amount of WD-40 and let it soak in for a few minutes. Remove the stain with a small brush and then wipe it clean. For those super stubborn stains use the hot water extraction method.
