Many people fantasise about it, but much less people take the steps to making it a reality. Packing up a campervan with all your essentials, saying goodbye to friends and family, and hitting the open road with only a vague idea of where you are going and for how long. There are things you can see and places you can go in a campervan that you simple wouldn’t have experienced if you’d stuck with bog standard holidays, so what are the essential things to get right.

Van. There have been some nightmare stories of people failing to taking out reliable lease vans deals and the van dying within the first few miles. If this is not some that appeals to you then it’s advisable to either purchase van and have it looked over by a professional or alternatively hire or lease a van from a well established company. Mercedes van leasing is a pretty good option as these vans are pretty sturdy and rarely break down, but always give them a good drive before you set off on your trip just to make sure everything works properly.

Money. You may think that you have budgeted for every eventuality, but you really can never know what is going to happen. You’ll have to take a certain amount of money for the essentials like food, drink and gas, but its well worth leaving some aside as a back up. Take some extra cash with you for things such as vehicle maintenance or any other emergency situation. It is also worth taking a credit card for times when you need to get your hands on larger sums of money.

Time. So you’ve got your Citroen van leasing sorted, you’ve packed it all up, now all you need is a relaxed state of mind. This is vital if you are going to enjoy yourself, as you can never account for the various hold-ups and distractions that will take place along the way on your travels. Getting hold of a campervan, packing it up with everything you need to survive, and taking off with only a simple plan of where it is you’re going and how long you’re going for. There are things you can see and places you can go in a campervan that you simple wouldn’t have experienced if you’d stuck with bog standard holidays, so what are the essential things to get right.

Van. There have been some nightmare stories of people failing to taking out reliable van lease deals and the van dying within the first few miles. You don’t want this happening to you so you should either buy a van that has been checked out by a professional or hire a van from a reputable company. Mercedes van leasing is a pretty good option as these vans are pretty sturdy and rarely break down, but always give them a good drive before you set off on your trip just to make sure everything works properly.

Money.Getting your finances sorted for your trip is no easy task as things tend to pop up that you didn’t expect. You’ll have to take a certain amount of money for the essentials like food, drink and gas, but its well worth leaving some aside as a back up. It makes a lot of sense to keep some cash for emergencies and things that you can’t plan for, such as having to pay for a new windscreen after a bird decides to try and fly through it. It is also worth taking a credit card for times when you need to get your hands on larger sums of money.

Time. So you’ve got your Citroen van leasing sorted, you’ve packed it all up, now all you need is a relaxed state of mind. There is no point trying to keep to a strict time plan and itinerary because on camper van holidays you are at the will of many different factors, including traffic, weather and a whole of other things. If you can free yourself from time you’ll have a much better one for sure.

The Prius, the Honda S200 or the Chevrolet, which is the best option for a Fly Drive holiday

Friday, July 10th, 2009

If you’re considering a Fly Drive holiday anywhere in the world, it might be a good idea to decide on the car you’re going to get before you get to your desired location. Read through the descriptions of these three cars, it should help you make a decision on which car would be best suited to your needs?

Let’s take a look at probably the not quite so sensible motor to consider, but possibly the most fun. If you think about it though, the sports car isn’t a great option, mainly because it isn’t designed for this kind of trip. However the Honda S2000 is one of the most popular cars in Canada. You can also get this good looking motor as a convertible, it has 237 BHP as well. Unfortunately this car does have some big down sides. The biggest problem is it’s size, it can only seat two people which won’t do anybody any favours. You can rest assured though that this car will show you a good time.

For those of us who love the planet, there is the mastered Toyota Prius. Personally thinking, this is the most boring of all the cars in this article, but it has much more advantages than its disadvantages. By far the Prius has the best fuel consumption, and with sixty five mpg it is hard to argue its importance. Not only will this car drive forever it is safe and not so bad for the environment. The problems are the fact it is a Prius, it is boring and slow, not at all adventurous.

This next particular vehicle is a favourite for many people. If you want something that will help through mud, then the Chevrolet Colorado is a good choice. This is a great 4WD car to take off road and down those nasty tracks. For a Truck it is relatively beefy, it has a standard rate of 185 HP but only does 23 miles to the gallon. Being a truck means that it can carry camping equipment and it comfortably sits three people as well. For obvious reasons this motor is going to be at the top of everyone’s list for choice.

So if you’re considering Canada holidays, then one of these three cars is a great consideration.  However some people may just want to relax on a Alaska Cruise.

Take a Break or Buy a Car

Monday, June 15th, 2009

The time of year when folk are going abroad is fast approaching, but this year is a lot different. As you already know we are in the middle of a huge credit crisis that has seen a big amount of people lose their jobs, so effectively people are tightening their budgets to cope with the shortness of money. Most families tend to go on holiday at least once a year and also get a new vehicle, but I am afraid that this year a choice will have to be made, its either one or the other.

Are you caught up in the middle as to which one to choose and not to choose? Let us take a quick glance at the benefits of both of these to make your decision maybe that little bit easier. Firstly let's have a look at holidays

1) You will be able to go away and relax, for one or two weeks you will be in pure luxury not having a worry in the world.
2) You will be able to top up your tan if you are going to a hot destination or simply relax by the pool.

Let's now take a brief look at buying your choice of new car.
1) Unlike a holiday a new vehicle will be with you for much longer, so over the long term it would be a much better option to take.
2) A vehicle is needed on a day to day basis, without a fully working vehicle you will be unable to make your daily commute to and fro work.
3) By buying a new car you will be helping to save the environment, new cars are much more eco friendly.

As you can see both have their benefits, but all in all I feel that buying a new vehicle will be the most rewarding, because once the holiday is over you are still going to be wanting to buy a new car, but will not have the funds to do so.

Do you want to Buy a Saab or Buy a Renault

American people love their convertibles and so there are an incredible variety to take your pick from. The older convertibles have more character but are maybe not as reliable. You might also want to consider renting one. This is what a lot of people do on fly drive holidays  All you need now is a model  girlfriend/boyfriend and some country and western on the radio to make your trip complete

Motorbike. The coolest way to get around in America has to be getting yourself on two wheels with a big motorbike. No other method of transport always you to immerse yourself in the American way of life and an get such a vivid experience all around you. If you’re not sure which bike to go for, then opt for a Harley. These bikes are sturdy as anything and demand respect on the roads. Rent shops are found across America.
